vinyl wallets

Benjamin took his love for manufacturing with industrial materials to the next level when he began designing wallets. After many iterations, he developed a stylish and functional wallet made from recycled materials: ends of rolls of industrial vinyl destined for the landfill. He manufactures them at home on his industrial sewing machine.

canvas tent

The canvas tent was a 2020 project. When businesses shut down, his employer reassigned him to the industrial sewing department to manufacture canvas tents for pop-up clinics. This is where he discovered his love for industrial materials. He built this tent at home with materials both repurposed and purchased on a teal antique sewing machine, because that’s the tool he had available at the time!

Scraps of paper, cardboard, and notebooks are scattered about his workspaces, documenting the design processes for each of his projects. Whether he’s sorting out spatial dynamics, fine-crafted details, or color-schemes, he’s often found with a pencil in hand sketching out thoughts, ideas, and solutions.
